6 Day Classic Northern Tanzania Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your professional driver guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible during the drive.

The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest after your international flight. Optional city or cultural activities can be arranged depending on your arrival time.

After breakfast, you depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its large elephant populations, seasonal wildlife concentrations, and distinctive baobab landscapes.

You enjoy a game drive through the park, with opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, and a variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch is enjoyed during the game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Today’s journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the Serengeti. The scenery gradually opens into wide plains dotted with small settlements and expansive savannah.

Upon entering Serengeti National Park, game viewing begins as you travel toward your camp. The southern and central areas of the park are characterized by open grasslands and rocky kopjes, which often attract predators.

A full day is dedicated to wildlife exploration in the Serengeti. With your private guide, you will search for wildlife across different areas of the park, adjusting routes according to animal movement and seasonal conditions.

Depending on the time of year, you may encounter the Great Migration. The Serengeti is also home to resident wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and many other species.

Optional activities such as a hot air balloon safari can be arranged in advance.

After an early breakfast, you depart the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.

The crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos, and the rare black rhino. After your exploration, you ascend from the crater and continue to Karatu.
